From 30th to 31st August 2018, University Dusseldorf’s “Haus der Universität” was hosting an international graduate conference on metametaphysics, asking questions like How to choose between competing metaphysical theories? What is metaphysical realism to do about functionally equivalent theories? Are metaphysical concepts normative?

The workshop featured 9 talks by early career researches as well as keynotes by Sophie Allen (Keele), Jiri Benovsky (Fribourg) and Richard Woodward (Hamburg). The full programme can be found here.

The workshop was organized by Till Gallasch, Paul Hasselkuß, Sara Ipakchi and Jessica Struchhold (Düsseldorf), and generously supported by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, the German Society for Analytic Philosophy (GAP), and Professor Markus Schrenk (Düsseldorf) of the DFG Research Group Inductive Metaphysics (FOR2495).
