The workshop will be held at Heinrich-Heine University’s Haus der Universität (HdU), a renovated city palace built in the 19th century, located in the heart of Düsseldorf. The address is:

Haus der Universität

Getting Here

By Plain

Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) is Germany’s third largest airport. Many international airlines operate from here, including some low-cost ones. If you arrive here, take the city train S11 to get to the central station in about 11 minutes.

Cologne Bonn Airport (CGN) is another large airport close to Düsseldorf. Many low-cost airlines operate from here. If you arrive here, the easiest way to get to Düsseldorf is the regional train RE6 which takes about one hour.

There is also Weeze Airport (NRN), a small airport used exclusively by some low-cost airlines. Although the airport is sometimes also called ‘Düsseldorf Weeze’ it is located relatively far from the city: If you arrive here, you first have to take the Bus to Kevelaer station and then the train to Düsseldorf which takes 1,5 hours.

By Train

Düsseldorf Central Station is serviced by national and international trains. Check the website of the Deutsche Bahn for connections. The station is located in walking distance of the city centre.

Getting Around

In the city centre, you can get around by walking just fine as everything is located rather close to each other. However, if you want to go further than the centre or you are tired, there are overground and underground trains operated by the Rheinbahn.

Of course, taxis are also available.
